We're a small business in Charlotte. We don't have an army of lawyers — but we take your privacy seriously and we treat your information the way we'd want ours treated. This page explains exactly what we do with your data, your files, and your orders.

When you contact us, request a quote, or place an order, you share some personal information with us. Here's what we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it.
| Information | When we collect it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Contact form, quote request | To address you and personalize your order |
| Email address | Contact form, quote request | To send proofs, confirmations, and updates on your order |
| Phone number | Quote request (optional) | To reach you quickly if there's a question about your order |
| Photos and design files | When you send them for a project | To create your engraving — and only for that |
| Order details | When you place an order | To process, produce, and deliver your order correctly |
| Messages and instructions | Any communication with us | To understand your needs and keep a record of what was agreed |
Specifically and only to:
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketing companies, data brokers, or third parties who aren't directly involved in fulfilling your order. That's not something we'd ever do.
To operate, we use a small number of trusted tools. Each handles your data under their own privacy terms:
We don't use advertising tracking pixels, retargeting scripts, or behavioral analytics tools on this site.
We keep order records for up to 3 years for accounting and warranty purposes. Personal communication (emails, messages) is retained as long as reasonably needed and then deleted. If you'd like your information removed earlier, just ask — we'll take care of it.
You can request at any time:
Email us at support@creativepawprint.store and we'll respond within 5 business days.
This section matters especially if you're sending us personal photos — for a memorial piece, a pet portrait, a family engraving, or a K9 crystal. We understand the weight those images carry.
Files, photos, and design documents you share with us are used for one purpose: to create your order. We use them to prepare the design, generate a digital proof for your approval, and produce the final piece. That's it.
We never use your photos for advertising, social media, or portfolio content without your explicit permission. If we'd like to feature your piece in our work — because it turned out beautifully — we'll ask you first. You can say no, and we'll respect that without question.
When you send us a photo of someone who has passed — a family member, a pet, a loved one — we handle it with the care that moment deserves. These files are treated with the highest level of discretion. They are never shared, never shown, and deleted as soon as production is complete unless you ask us to keep them for a possible reprint.
When you share files with us, you confirm that you have the right to use them — that the photos are yours, that you hold the copyright to any logos or designs, or that you have the necessary permissions. We engrave in good faith based on what you send us. If a third party ever raises a copyright concern about artwork you provided, the responsibility falls on the sender, not on Creative Pawprint.
We want every order to go smoothly. These terms exist so there are no surprises — you know what to expect from us, and we know what we can count on from you.
Before we engrave anything, we send you a digital proof showing exactly how your piece will look — the design, text, placement, and dimensions. We don't start engraving until you approve it in writing (email or message).
Once you approve the proof and we begin production, changes to the design are no longer possible without incurring a restart fee. Please review your proof carefully — check every name, every date, every spelling — before approving.
| Type | Timeframe | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 5–7 business days | From proof approval to shipment/pickup |
| Express | 2–3 business days | Additional fee applies |
| Rush | 24–48 hours | Subject to availability — contact us first |
| Bulk orders (50+ units) | 10–14 business days | Timeline confirmed at time of quote |
Holidays, shipping carrier delays, and supply disruptions may affect these times. We'll always communicate proactively if something changes.
We ship across the United States. Shipping costs and estimated delivery windows are provided at checkout or in your quote. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers once a package has left our facility. If your shipment is lost or damaged in transit, we'll work with you to file a claim and resolve it — we won't leave you on your own.
Local pickup in Charlotte is available at no additional cost and is often the fastest option.
You are responsible for verifying all text, names, dates, and details before approving your proof. Engraving is permanent. Errors that are present in the approved proof and not caught before production begins cannot be corrected without reproducing the piece at cost.
Errors that are our fault — a typo we introduced that wasn't in your approved proof, wrong placement, wrong item — we fix at no cost, immediately.
Every order starts with payment — or at least a deposit. No surprises, no confusion about when to pay. Here's how it works.
We accept major credit/debit cards, Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, and cash (in-person pickup only). Payment details are provided directly during the order process. We do not store card numbers.
If we don't receive final payment within 7 business days of completion, we'll hold the piece, may charge a small storage fee, and in some cases may need to resell or repurpose it. Deposits are non-refundable once we start working.
If you have a concern about your order, please contact us at support@creativepawprint.store before initiating a chargeback. We resolve disputes directly and quickly. Chargebacks filed on legitimate completed orders may result in collections action for the full order amount plus fees.
Pricing is guaranteed for 30 days. Quotes provided are valid for 30 days. After that, material and labor costs may change and the quote will be revised.
If you provide a logo, artwork, or design for engraving, you retain full ownership of it. We will not use it for anything other than your order without your permission.
If we design a layout, artwork, or engraving template for your project, that design is created for your use. Once your order is paid and completed, you have full rights to use that specific design on future orders with us. You may not resell our design files or use them with another engraving vendor without our consent.
Photos of completed work shown on our website and social media are our property. If your order appears in our portfolio (with your permission), you may share those images freely as long as credit is given to Creative Pawprint.
We will not knowingly engrave trademarked logos, copyrighted images, or licensed character artwork without documentation confirming you have the rights to reproduce them. This applies to sports team logos, brand marks, entertainment characters, and similar protected intellectual property. We reserve the right to decline any order where copyright compliance cannot be confirmed.
By placing an order with Creative Pawprint, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Creative Pawprint, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
Bottom line: if you send us a logo, character, or artwork you don't have the rights to — and someone comes after us for it — that's on you, not on us. We engrave in good faith based on what you tell us and what you send. We won't take the fall for your content decisions.
We can't verify the legal status of every design you send us — that would be impossible. If you're submitting a logo, an image, or any artwork, make sure you have the right to use it. Just because we produce the order doesn't mean we've approved or cleared the content legally. That part is always on you.
Because every piece is made to order and personalized, our refund policy reflects that reality — but we always try to make things right.
You can cancel or modify your order at any point before you approve the proof, with no charge. Once proof approval is given, production begins and cancellations may incur a partial charge to cover materials and design time already invested.
If we made an error — wrong text, wrong placement, wrong item, defective engraving — we will redo the piece at no cost. Contact us within 7 days of receiving the item and we'll resolve it quickly. We pay for return shipping in these cases.
If the piece matches the approved proof exactly and you later want it changed — different font, different text, corrected spelling that was present in the proof you approved — we can reproduce it, but we cannot offer a refund for the original piece. Personalized items cannot be resold or returned. We'll produce a corrected version at a discounted rate.
Document the damage with photos immediately and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We'll file a claim with the carrier and either reproduce the piece or issue a full refund, your choice. We've shipped thousands of orders — shipping damage is rare, but when it happens, we handle it.
Our honest standard: if you're not happy with what you received, tell us. We'll look at what happened and find a way to make it right. That's not a policy — it's just how we operate.
We back everything we make. But there are real limits to what a small business can absorb, and this section makes them clear. None of this changes our commitment to fixing things when something goes wrong on our end.
Our liability is limited to the value of the specific order in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including but not limited to lost business, missed events, or emotional distress — arising from delays, defects, or circumstances outside our control.
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control: natural disasters, carrier disruptions, supply shortages, power outages, or other unforeseen events. In these situations, we'll communicate as soon as possible and work with you on a solution.
We make every effort to accurately represent materials, dimensions, and finishes in our descriptions and quotes. Minor variations in wood grain, stone texture, or metal finish are natural and do not constitute defects. Digital proof images are accurate representations of the design but may differ slightly from the physical item due to material characteristics.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Creative Pawprint provides its products and services "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that our products will meet every specific expectation beyond what was described and approved in your written proof.
Laser engraving on items used with food (cutting boards, serving boards, coasters, drinkware) is performed for decorative and personalization purposes only. We do not certify food-grade safety for engraved surfaces. Customers should use their own judgment regarding food contact with engraved areas. Creative Pawprint is not liable for any illness, allergic reaction, or health issue allegedly arising from the use of engraved food-contact products.
If something goes wrong, reach out before calling a lawyer. Email us at support@creativepawprint.store and we'll work it out — we always have. If that doesn't resolve it, we agree to try non-binding mediation before either side goes to court. This doesn't take away any legal rights you have.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mecklenburg County, NC, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We may update this page from time to time. Significant changes will be noted at the top with the updated date. Your continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you have questions about a specific change, just ask.
